Thoughts:

I really like these socks! The lace is soft with lovely details. The socks are stretchy both length and width-wise. They will go great with the intended gothic or sweet coords. However, there are a few things to note. The pink color becomes very light when they are stretched out, making them seem almost white. I wonder if Sweet Mildred could have gone another shade darker to compensate for that effect. Also, shipping and updates took longer than expected. I know the pandemic has thrown things off, but the shop could have posted something or possibly limited orders early on, so as to not get overwhelmed/fall behind. I do appreciate the bonus goodies. I'm not sure if all orders got them or what.

Order Timeline:

9/18 Order placed on Etsy (listing states "ready to ship in 1-2 weeks"), paid via Paypal, received order confirmation email

10/5 No updates about the order yet, messaged Sweet Mildred about order status and ask if there is a tracking number, got a reply back that there were a lot of orders in a short time, busy, it will be in the mail that week

10/19 Order not received, message again asking for a tracking number, got an auto-reply that the shop has closed to catch up on orders, got another reply that they're working on it, will be in the mail that night or the next day

10/20 Tracking number received

10/22 Arrived

Selene Moon Ring Opening!

 Hi friends! <3

Neant Glass had posted some sneak peeks of their Halloween collection and the crescent moon ring immediately caught my eye. Only 30 pieces were made too. Needless to say, I jumped on ordering it when it released lol.

Thoughts:

This ring is so beautiful! It was tough to choose which version to get, but I am really happy with my decision. The pearly white color really stands out against the black and silver. This will go great with my gothic and stained glass prints (and maybe some non-lolita outfits too). Did you get anything from the Halloween collection? I liked the necklaces but couldn't justify spending so much for something I might not wear too often.

Pink Bloomers Opening!

 Hi friends! <3

I found a pair of bloomers in pink and long length up for sale and got them. The seller said they are by Sweet Mildred. I tried to find a stock pic, but there didn't seem to be one.

Came with a nice postcard/note...

Let's get this opened up...

Ooh...

Laid out nicely...

Waistband details. Such a cute little bow...

Lace/trim details...

Try-on pic... (Not sure what's going on with the lighting here.)

Thoughts:

These are so cute! I love the light pink color and the polka dot lace trim. They are long length which is great for me being on the tall side. Since the leg bands are elastic, I can adjust them to sit higher for under shorter dresses or leave them as is so they peek out a bit. The fabric seem to be cotton or possibly a cotton-polyester blend. Stitching is well done and the fit is good. A great addition to my wardrobe.

Tea Time: Earl Grey!

 Hi friends! <3

Trying out this tea I picked up from the clearance section at Walmart.

$2.23 (on sale)- Tazo: Earl Grey- US

Here we go...

Yay it's ready!

Such a nice color...

Mmm...

Thoughts:

This was pretty good. It had a slight bitter taste, but I may have left the tea bag in too long. You get a good amount of tea for the price (20 bags). I might get it again.

September Sip Down Progress & October Goals!

 Hi friends! <3

Continuing with my sip downs...

In September, I finished matcha green, the digester, morning kick, and chocolate macaroon. Continued with cherry blossom. Also had some glitter chai, sticky rice oolong, bonfire toffee, and bee the change. Matcha green was my favorite.

I got a few new teas to try. One was free from someone in a tea fan group that had tried it and didn't like it. The ingredients sounded very interesting.

And I got a lot of tea ware too... The bright green and the blue with cherry blossoms tea pots are so cute! The little packets on the right are matcha fruit snacks. I wanted to try them. Well that, and they happened to be on sale too.

More tea ware... A grey and gold tea pot, a Sailor Moon travel mug, a green glass mug with wolves/foxes, and a large tea ball.

For October, I plan to finish cherry blossom, bonfire toffee and sticky rice oolong. Continue with bee the change. I will also start on ice cream matcha, da hong pao, chai vanilla caramel, and earl grey.
