Wardrobe Goals: 2018 & 2019!

Hi friends! <3

It's time for wardrobe goals! So, I'm going to review what mine were from the previous year, along with how well (or not) I've done. I'm  also setting some new goals for next year. Enjoy!

Curious about earlier wardrobe goals?

Wardrobe Goals: 2018!

1.) Replace most of my long sleeve blouses with short sleeved ones! I tend to wear short sleeves more often.

Done! I've been meaning to do this for awhile now. I love wearing short sleeve blouses, but I tend to buy long sleeve ones as they look nicer. So, I went through my blouses and pulled out all the long sleeved ones that I never really wear, and put them in the sales album. I kept the few that I do wear though. Whenever I was out shopping, I looked for short sleeved blouses. I ended up with 2 lavender, 2 pink, 1 tan, and 1 white.

2.) More selling, less buying! There's a bunch of items in my sales album. I should sell more of those off before buying other items.

Done! I have sold a bunch of items by focusing on selling rather than buying. It also helps that many of the new releases from the brands I like have not really been catching my eye this year. The ones I did like won't fit me, and the ones that would fit me, I don't really like all that much. So, pretty much unless the item was already on my Wishlist or it was a new release *must have*, I refrained from buying it. Although, I would be lying if I didn't admit that a few things did manage to slip their way in. Oops :-)

3.) Focus on Wishlist items! Especially...

a.) Black wrist cuffs

Done! I got a nice pair by Belladonna.

b.) Black peignoir

No luck with this one so far. I will keep looking though.

c.) Cat print jsk

Done! I got the Witch Academy  jsk in lavender. It's a collab between Royal Princess Alice x Automatic Honey. I still kinda want another/different one though.

Wardrobe Goals: 2019!

1.) Make more handmade accessories! I enjoy making things to go with my coords. I've got tons of craft supplies and ideas, but then I get lazy/distracted. I need to just set aside some time,  sit down, and do it.

2.) Try out more indie brands! I've seen some really nice things from Lady Sloth, Haenuli, and Enchantlic Enchantilly.

3.) More Wishlist items! Specifically...

a.) Honey Cake Headbow or Round Cut Jsk in mint. I have the other version of the jsk, but it's a little snug on me. And I currently do not have the matching headbow. I planned to use another headbow, but it doesn't look quite right.

b.) Black or brown short sleeve blouse. I only have long sleeve blouses in those colors and short sleeves would be better for me.

c.) Otks in yellow or with yellow in the print/design. I have come to notice that color is lacking in my legwear. Probably why I hardly ever wear my yellow blouse.

Thoughts:

These are so comfy and nice! I had been wanting a pair of otks with a simple or semi generic print/design that would go with the brown accents in a few of my jsks. I also thought it would encourage me to wear my brown blouse more. The brown is a nice chocolatey brown color too. My favorite thing is that the print/design is on both sides. I'm very happy with them and can't wait to wear them sometime soon.

Snack Time: Seaweed Snack Bacon!

Hi friends! <3

I recently came across a new snack in the international food section at Wal-Mart. Thought I'd give it a try.

74 cents- Seaweed Snack Bacon- Korea

Oh, nice...

Let's open it up...

Plastic tray with little sheets...

One little sheet...

Nom nom…

Thoughts:

This was very tasty! Each package comes with 8 little sheets of seaweed. Each one is super thin and crispy. The bacon flavoring was good. It had a nice, rich meaty taste. I know it's meant to be a snack, but it made me want something more substantial/filling after eating it. The donation part on the label is nice, but I don't think  that amounts to very much. I would probably get them again!

Pre-Christmas Meet-up!

Hi friends! <3

The local comm had a casual meet-up at a café called Perks that was downtown. It was a great way to chill with friends before the holiday craziness sets in. Even though it ended up being just a few of us, it was nice.

I got this delicious chicken salad wrap that came with a side salad. Very tasty and filling. I only wish it came with more dressing :-)

Wore a sweet/classic coord in black x red x ivory.

I took the opportunity to wear one of my favorite seasonal prints, but with an ivory headdress instead of the usual black headbow. I think it turned out well. What do you think?

List 5 Ways To Keep Warm In Winter...

Hi friends! <3

With the cold winter weather ahead, this week's topic is all about ways to keep warm in winter. Read on for some of the things I like to do...

1.) Bloomers- I tend to wear cotton type pj shorts as bloomers most of the time, but when it gets cold I reach for these longer length ones I got from Bodyline instead. Nothing worse than a chilly blast of wind under your dress and not having the proper undergarments on.

2.) Leg wear- I find otks more comfortable to wear, but opt for thicker otks, tights, or even leggings when the temperature drops. Like with the bloomers, you want to cover more of yourself. These tights have a subtle patterned texture on them. And leggings, can be tucked into your boots so it doesn't look too weird.

3.) Blouses- Wearing ones with high collars and/or long sleeves can help to hold your body heat in so you stay nice and warm.

4.) Outer wear- Putting on a cardigan over your blouse adds another layer to your clothing. Then you can add a cute coat or cloak.

5.) Additional outer wear- Don't forget things like hats, mittens, and scarves. They can be cute and functional for maintaining warmth. And always choose boots with a good rubber sole if the weather looks iffy. No sense wearing your nice lolita shoes out if they're going to get ruined by the snow and salt. Walkways can be slippery as well. Better to be safe I believe.

Double Stacked Decadence Ice Cream Necklace Opening!

Hi friends! <3

I had heard about BB and B from a YouTube video and saw some of their merchandise posted online. I wanted to get something for myself and decided to check out their website. When I saw this necklace, I knew this was the one. It would go perfectly with my wardrobe. Shipping was extra unless I added another item to the cart, but nothing else seemed as special as this item. I waited, hoping it might go on sale. After a while, I saw a post on the BB and B Facebook page announcing free shipping and figured it was time to checkout.

Thoughts:

I love this necklace! I admit I was a little hesitant to spend more than I usually do for non-brand lolita jewelry, but it was worth it. I can tell that a lot of work went into this piece. The attention to details is amazing. It looks so real. There even is a crown on the top of the spoon handle. The whip on the spoon is semi-soft and squishy. In contrast, the clay/whip used for the macaron and ice cream are firm. The rhinestones are beautiful and add a nice touch of sparkle overall. I think you could even remove the pendants to wear separately as well. This will match great with my wardrobe.

The only issue I noticed was that part of the chain was stuck to itself. I'm not sure if that happened during storage or transit, but I was able to gently pull it apart with some small pliers. No damages either.

My item was as shown, if not more beautiful in person. The transaction process went smoothly. I used Paypal and had no issues. It was shipped out quickly and packaged well too. I highly recommend you check BB and B out yourself at https://bbandb.net/shop/
