Went to a meet-up with the local comm for some bubble tea at a new/different place. It was great to see the group being active again after awhile. I tried a rose bubble tea with strawberry popping bubbles. It was really good <3

Swap Meet-up & Goodies Mini Haul!

Went to a swap meet/potluck with a semi-local comm. They had reserved a large room in a community space with multiple tables and chairs. As soon as I arrived, I joined the others in setting up a table with my items. Since I had brought a big box, it took me awhile. Hopefully I would sell something... 

I ran out of table space, so had to improvise with some chairs...

After setting up, I went shopping at the other tables. Then I walked over to a table in the back to check out the food and drinks. Due to the rules of the venue, we could only bring in prepackaged/sealed items. Which ended up being mainly snack-type/finger foods. Fine with me. I could always stop somewhere afterwards on the way home. I had earl grey tea...

And a plate filled with mini scones, eclairs, cream puffs, popcorn, crackers, meats, cheeses, and chocolate covered coffee beans. Yum :-) 

It was great to see everyone again. I don't think I sold anything, but I found some goodies to bring back home...

Asa Ransom House Afternoon Tea Meet-up!

Checked out a new tea house with the local comm. Just a small group this time, but it was nice. Might have to go back with a bigger group next time.

There was quite the selection of teas available. Each color was a different flavor...

The dining room where we enjoyed our tea had some interesting vintage styled floral wallpaper...

Along with more florals in the lounge/sitting area near the entrance...

A quick look around the gift shop, and then we headed outside for some pics. I loved this cute gazebo they had <3

Once we finished up, some of us headed down the road to an antique market. I enjoyed looking at the jewelry and tea sets. How pretty is this set?

This sofa and matching chairs reminded me of something my grandma might have had. There were even roses carved into the wood trim. I would love to have some furniture like this some day when I have a house of my own...

My small purchase/memento of the day was this beautiful gold rose ring. I think it would go great with lolita and my everyday wear...

Pre-Christmas Meet-up!

The local comm had a casual meet-up at a café called Perks that was downtown. It was a great way to chill with friends before the holiday craziness sets in. Even though it ended up being just a few of us, it was nice.

I got this delicious chicken salad wrap that came with a side salad. Very tasty and filling. I only wish it came with more dressing :-)

Tora Con: Day 1!

This weekend is Tora Con and I'm super excited to go and see some friends I haven't seen in while. Last night I already picked up my badge once I had gotten checked into the hotel and dropped off my stuff. The mascots on the guide book cover look cute and the book itself is full of interesting panels and events. I'll definitely be trying to go to all the lolita ones ;-)

There were many booths to browse with numerous of items for sale. This one had a bunch of cute Kirby plushies...

Another had various figures. I loved this one, but that price though... :-(

I only ended up with a few things since I had just bought a lolita dress not too long ago.

Asian Fusion Bubble Tea Meet-up!

Went to a casual meet-up with a nearby comm for some bubble tea and sushi. The restaurant had a laid back feel to it and everything was delicious. Would definitely love to go again sometime ;-)

I had a strawberry milk bubble tea. It was super yummy and sweet <3

I also got the tempura (fried shrimp) sushi roll. Mmm <3

Totoro Movie Meet-up!

Hi friends! <3

Went to the movies to see Totoro with some lolita friends. I guess there is a Studio Ghibli Fest going on where select movie theaters are showing a different Ghibli movie each month.

I might have to go in July for Kiki's Delivery Service, and November for Howl's Moving Castle as those are my two favorites. And maybe September too for Nausicaa :-)

The movie started right in, but didn't have any sound.

It got restarted and everything was fine.

After the movie, we got some bubble tea at a café.

Mine was jasmine green milk tea. So yummy! <3
