Winter ILD Coord!

 Hi friends! <3

Although the local comm had a meet-up planned for ILD, I did my own thing. I wasn't feeling up to socializing and preferred to do something more low-key. Instead, I went out with a friend to my favorite antique shop and had a look around at all the neat items. I loved this pink dragon teapot...

And the cozy, floral vibes going on here...

Afterwards, we got some bubble tea. I had a matcha one and tried a raspberry "plankie." Which is some sort of cross between a pastry heart and a donut. It was interesting. Not sure if I'd get another. Might have been better warmed up.

Swap Meet-up & Goodies Mini Haul!

 Hi friends! <3

Went to a swap meet/potluck with a semi-local comm. They had reserved a large room in a community space with multiple tables and chairs. As soon as I arrived, I joined the others in setting up a table with my items. Since I had brought a big box, it took me awhile. Hopefully I would sell something... 

I ran out of table space, so had to improvise with some chairs...

After setting up, I went shopping at the other tables. Then I walked over to a table in the back to check out the food and drinks. Due to the rules of the venue, we could only bring in prepackaged/sealed items. Which ended up being mainly snack-type/finger foods. Fine with me. I could always stop somewhere afterwards on the way home. I had earl grey tea...

And a plate filled with mini scones, eclairs, cream puffs, popcorn, crackers, meats, cheeses, and chocolate covered coffee beans. Yum :-) 

It was great to see everyone again. I don't think I sold anything, but I found some goodies to bring back home...

It seems like forever since I last frilled up! The weather is so cold and chilly now, but I wasn't going to let that stop me today. I went to a winter festival with a neighbor friend to check out some local craft vendors.

Bubble Tea Mini-Meet!

Hi friends! <3

Went to a little meet-up with the semi local group. It was pretty chill with about twelve of us altogether including a few non-lolitas. We went to a place called Tai Chi Cafe. And yes if that sounds familiar we've done a meet-up at one before but in a different location. You can read about it here. They served bubble tea, ramen, and sushi. It was nice to see everyone that came.

The cafe had their own logo'ed pandas sitting around randomly. This one was by our table.

I got the ramen bowl with shrimp. It was so delicious, I almost ate it all!

I didn't notice this one hiding up near the ceiling until later. How did he get up there?

Despite being super full from the ramen, I had to get a bubble tea. Milk strawberry with strawberry bubbles. Sweet and very tasty!

ILD Eastman House Meet-up!

Hi friends! <3

For International Lolita Day, I went to the Eastman House with the semi local comm. It had been a couple of years since the last visit, so it was especially nice to go again. Various clubs and businesses in the area create gingerbread houses and visitors to the museum can bid on them in a silent auction. Funds raised go towards the museum I believe, which is pretty cool. There were so many gingerbread houses on display! More than last time I want to say. I loved all the little details and clever ways the different candies/building materials were utilized.

This one was done by The Mad Hatter. We went there for tea last year :-) 

Continuing on...

The house was completely decked out for the holidays and ready to impress. Christmas trees were scattered throughout. Each tree had specially themed ornaments. It was fun trying to guess them all while walking around. The mini trees also seemed to be acting as a secondary fundraiser. Pretty clever.

We took a bunch of pics on the grand staircase and then went to a café for a late lunch/supper. I got this delicious mushroom wrap with a side of pasta salad...

And this giant chocolate chip cookie that was about as big as my head! Haha :-D
