Winter ILD Coord!

 Hi friends! <3

Although the local comm had a meet-up planned for ILD, I did my own thing. I wasn't feeling up to socializing and preferred to do something more low-key. Instead, I went out with a friend to my favorite antique shop and had a look around at all the neat items. I loved this pink dragon teapot...

And the cozy, floral vibes going on here...

Afterwards, we got some bubble tea. I had a matcha one and tried a raspberry "plankie." Which is some sort of cross between a pastry heart and a donut. It was interesting. Not sure if I'd get another. Might have been better warmed up.

Does This Meet Spark Joy Meet-up & Mini Haul!

So, I did something a little different today and went to a swap meet... in Canada! Now the last time I went to a meet-up in Canada was a few years ago. There was a small group of us and it rained about half the day. Going to a more recent one, would be a good opportunity to check out the comm/area again, and to see if I would be interested in attending more meet-ups over there. 

Since it was a swap meet, I brought a bunch of items from my sales album and took my time arranging everything so that it was displayed nicely. I even prepared and brought a print out listing each item, the sizing (for clothing) and prices. After setting up, I was ready to start in on the food and drinks...

This tea sounded traditional and I thought it would be interesting to try. I usually like green tea, but this one was kind of bitter and would have been better if I maybe added some sugar or honey. I didn't add either though as I tend to add too much and that would ruin the natural taste of the tea...

The food was set up buffet style along a counter. There were meats, cheeses, veggies, fruit, and desserts. I tried to get a little bit of everything. It was tasty. I loved the cute toothpicks that looked like a rose and unicorn...

There was also a colorful (and tempting) tower of macarons...

The peachy-pink ones were rose flavored. Super yummy!

Once I was done eating, I wandered around for awhile, browsing through the items for sale, hoping for some good finds. It was nice to see some items in person rather than just online. There was also an egg hunt with candy prizes inside. One lucky person won a larger prize...

Later, I went back for more tea and tried this one. It was delicious! <3

While sipping my tea, I relaxed and played Pokémon Go. That day also happened to be community day featuring Bagon. I didn't get any shinies, but there are a few high level ones I may evolve later on...

Before leaving, I got a nice coord pic in the special photo booth area. There was a cool backdrop with balloons and a shiny pastel banner. I think it was a good idea to have something like that at a meet-up. Sometimes it's not easy finding a good spot for photos; both in regards to adequate lighting and a clear background.

The meet-up was inspired by Marie Kondo's KonMari Method which focuses on keeping things that "spark joy" and getting rid of those that don't. This dress set is the very first thing I bought from Angelic Pretty when starting out in lolita. It originally came with a barrette, but I sold that and got the headbow instead. I've worn this set a bunch of times and it makes me feel happy each time I wear it. I included a few new items in my coord that I had not worn yet. I think it turned out fairly well, don't you?

I sold a headband, did one trade, and ended up buying a few things. I was going to buy another couple items but the one person forgot to bring them. Hopefully next time I see them they will bring them.

Anime North: Haul Opening!

Anime North was a great experience for me. I ended up bringing home quite a nice haul of goodies :-) Most are lolita related with some anime ones as well. I thought it would be fun to share what I got.

*Flea Market Finds*

Gorgeous Sailor Moon promo postcards. They were given out at select theaters when the Sailor Moon R movie was shown. One is of Sailor Moon, and the other is of Sailor Jupiter (my favorite scout!). I think they would look nice framed and sitting on my dresser.

Cute Pokémon Umbreon and Espeon figures. I love how Eevee has the potential to evolve into different types and these are two of my favorites. <3

Lovely (and free!) flower necklace. I like the artwork and it will be perfect to wear in the summertime.

Shiny Chocomint 2-way Star clip. I have similar ones, but nothing with this darker colorway...

At the Angelic Pretty booth, I got two pairs of otks (Princess Logo and Toe Shoe). I think they will go nicely with my lolita wardrobe...

 

I lucked out at another booth (can't remember the name sorry) as it was a fellow lolita doing a huge closet clean out. There were racks filled with dresses and a bunch of accessories as well. I scored Angelic Pretty x Little Twin Stars "Cosmetic Bunny" necklaces in pink (new with tag!) and lavender...

Along with one of my wishlist items (Angelic Pretty "Dreamy Horoscope Unicorn" necklace in white/clear)…

And a cute Angelic Pretty "Lovely Ribbon" ring...

At the Twylite booth, I obtained this lovely hair clip. I love how the crescent moon is all pink and glittery with star charms dangling from it... <3

And I got these rings from the Charming Monsters booth. They had a wonderful assortment of accessories. Being a sweet lolita I was immediately drawn to the rings that were shaped like ponies and a teapot. Like the moon clip, they also contain glitter and confetti in the plastic. Are you sensing a theme yet? Lol...

Since there were two lolita/j-fashion guests, I decided it would be a great opportunity to get their autographs. Chisa signed this Angelic Pretty flyer which I plan to frame and display in my room... 

And Minori signed one side of a double-sided poster I got at her booth...

The back looks pretty cool too. I want to frame this as well but will have to search for a large enough size...

The bag had a cute design and they even included a bonus postcard with brochure featuring more images of Minori…

Finally, at the tea party I got a few postcards and a little goody bag containing washi tape and a postcard...
