Red Bird Tea Meet-up!

Hi friends! <3

Went to a large semi local comm gathering for tea. The food was yummy and it was great to see some friends that I hadn't seen in awhile. It was nice to see everyone's coords and try for a raffle prize too! Everyone left with a goodie bag as well ;-)

The table was set so nicely...

We got to select our teacup from a table nearby...

Mine had blue flowers. I tried out this tea too...

The food was served on tiered stands. You could choose from scones with cream and jam, mini muffins, fresh fruit, mini quiches, and assorted finger sandwiches...

Dessert was a blueberry tart with whipped cream and a mint leaf... <3

Totoro Movie Meet-up!

Hi friends! <3

Went to the movies to see Totoro with some lolita friends. I guess there is a Studio Ghibli Fest going on where select movie theaters are showing a different Ghibli movie each month.

I might have to go in July for Kiki's Delivery Service, and November for Howl's Moving Castle as those are my two favorites. And maybe September too for Nausicaa :-)

The movie started right in, but didn't have any sound.

It got restarted and everything was fine.

After the movie, we got some bubble tea at a café.

Mine was jasmine green milk tea. So yummy! <3

Twinkle Journey Opening (Round Two)!

I am so excited about this opening! It's one of my Wishlist items... Twinkle Journey in blue :-) It came with everything but the blouse, which is fine since I wouldn't fit it anyway.

Thoughts:

I love the blue version! <3 It's just like my pink set, but you can see so much more detailing in the print. Such as stars and constellations with even a couple tiny pink pegasus flying around in the background. I had never noticed that before. The fit and length of the jsk is good. I did notice that one of the star buttons on the front has some extra plastic on the edges. I might file it down a bit so it matches up with the other buttons and doesn't look so weird. The otks were a nice bonus to the set since I wasn't specifically looking to get them originally. But they came with the set, so I figured why not. Definitely looking forward to wearing this sometime :-)

Twinkle Journey Opening!

I got my Twinkle Journey set in the mail today! I'm so excited to open it up and share pics with you. I was originally going to get the blue colorway but that sold out rather quickly and I went with pink instead.

The set is lovely and I am very much looking forward to wearing it sometime soon. I did notice that the waist ties are secured by double buttons on each side which is a bit odd but I can deal with that. Idk if the blouse will fit, but I can always try and sell it if it doesn't. The socks and headbow match nicely with the jsk but could also be worn with other prints that have similar color schemes. The pastel colors go well together and make for a soft almost dream-like image.
