Summer ILD Afternoon Tea Meet-up!

It's been awhile since I went to a meet-up in person. I'm so happy to be resuming social activities. What better way to celebrate than by having afternoon tea with your comm and enjoying it being ILD?

Virtual Meet-up!

Just a quick post this time. The semi local comm had a virtual meet-up. We chatted a bit and then played an online version of Cards Against Humanity (lolita edition)...

It was interesting and quite different, but fun. Hopefully we'll do another one soon.

Asa Ransom House Tea Take 2 Meet-up!

Went back to the tea house again. It was supposed to be a larger group, but ended up being another small one after some people backed out last minute. I still had a nice time.

After tea, we did some antiquing. I enjoyed looking at the various styles and designs of all the tea cups. There were a few I liked and the prices were good, but nothing I *had* to buy.

In another section, I found a pretty pink Aynsley one! Almost got it too, but thought it was a bit much at the time. Love the ridges and rose detail...

We finished antiquing but weren't quite ready to go home yet, so we decided to wander around the mall. Got some yummy bubble tea too; jasmine green with strawberry bubbles.

Chilly Day Out!

After creating that spooky/Halloween themed coord last time, I was quite looking forward to a nice day out. However, it was pouring rain and very windy. I ended up delaying my plans until the next day instead. The weather was still chilly, but barely noticeable with all my layers. I went to the local mall which has a large antique store at one end along with a couple smaller vintage/collectables type stores. I collect Disney pins (especially Duffy and Shellie Mae ones) and wanted to see if there were some new ones to find for my collection. It's also just fun to wander around and see all the interesting items on display.

These tea cups and saucers were so pretty. I liked the one in the middle with the blue flowers...

And these adorable original Care Bears (from the 80's) <3

I also visited Duchess, the alligator. She is a rescue animal and the store has special permission to keep/display her for educational purposes. She has gotten a lot bigger since last time I was there... 

After the antique store, I passed by a toy store with these cute plushies called Squishables. I have the vanilla cupcake version at home. It is super soft and huggable. That cake slice one really tempted me though...

This pegasus was pretty awesome too!

The last store I went in was giving out free popcorn, which was a tasty, surprise treat. I didn't end up buying anything today, but I enjoyed my day out. It's been too long since I last frilled up. I may have to do this again sometime.

Tulle Lace Princess Headdress & Strawberry Tart Set Opening!

I've been trying to stick to just acquiring wishlist items this year, but as you can tell it's been a bit challenging. Although what I have picked up will be useful, I'm not sure if everything was necessary to obtain. That being said, I may just do another wardrobe review/clean out in a few years. 

Anyways… I was on Wunderwelt the other day and found a couple wishlist items so I'm very happy about that.

Thoughts:

I'm so glad I was able to find these items! The black headdress is just as beautiful as the ivory version and will be perfect for wearing with my gothic dresses. The strawberry tart set is so pretty. It's more subtle then the pink version, but I love how the red contrasts with the darker background. I did notice some pinkish discoloration in a couple areas between the pie slices and the tarts. I wonder if the dress was washed and the red dye bled a bit, or maybe it rubbed off from another item? It's not that noticeable unless you're right up close. I don't mind it too much. I was aware of possible damages when I got it. Probably why the price was so good. Definitely looking forward to wearing these items sometime soon.
