Albright Knox Meet-up!

Hi friends! <3

Went to an art gallery with another comm. There was a special exhibit by Takashi Murakami called 'The Deep End of the Universe' with lots of colorful and detailed creatures. It was great seeing the unique and creative things on display. I especially liked how some of them were interactive :-)

Loved this colorful dragon...

And these adorable pandas...

You could even sip some tea in a tent and imagine yourself in a far away land...

Or experience a different perspective in a room with giant furniture...

Also, floor candy... ?

Or take a nice mirror selfie in a cube made up entirely of mirrors...

I even made a new friend! ;-)

***Went to Denny's after for food.***

Ordered a skillet that arrived missing sausage, but had bonus pieces of broccoli...? I had the waitress  fix it. You would think if an ingredient is listed in the description on the menu it would come with it, right?

And a cake batter shake. No issues here. Super delicious <3

White Linen Tea Meet-up!

Hello friends! <3

Went out to a tea house with the local lolita comm. Had fun chatting and discussing random topics that came up. This time instead of the normal tea service, I tried the brunch buffet. You got to pick whatever you wanted from a pre-selected list and you could order it as many times as you wished for one flat price. I tried french toast, crepes, quiche, and a couple other things. Very tasty. We also looked around in the antique shop next door.

Delicious green tea with rose <3

Thoughts:

The first headbow, I got to go with the IW carousel jsk I had posted about a few months ago.  Originally I just wanted a plain, solid colored headbow. But the one I liked the most was already sold out. This one was the next best choice. I'm hoping the small decorations on it don't detract from the jsk too much when they are worn together.

As for the other headbow and jsk, they are supposed to be a matched set. Although, I think the headbow is a slightly darker shade of navy blue than the one used for the jsk. It looks a bit off to me when worn together. Maybe if I wear it with a gold star hair clip and some other gold accessories it will balance out?

As for the print on the jsk, I love the combination of the white carousel horses paired with a navy night sky. Most of the carousel horses in prints that I've seen are pastel colored and tend to draw your  attention to them. The light print contrasts with the dark background and makes them seem almost ghost-like or other-worldly in a sense. There are also golden star buttons and lace trim that give an elegant feeling to the design. Constellations can also be seen in the background of the print.

I am super excited to start planning a coord for it so I can wear it soon!
