AP & BTSSB San Fran Pick-ups Opening!

Hi friends! <3

A few months ago, one of my friends went to the Angelic Pretty and BTSSB stores in San Francisco. They offered to do pick-ups, so I joined in. I only wanted a couple small items and figured it would be a good way to save on shipping too. At the ILD Tea meet-up, they gave them to me. I just got around to opening them today :-)

Thoughts:

I really like both items!

The otks are a nice white color with pastel stars and rainbows, so they will match with a lot of items in my wardrobe. I am happy to have found a suitable pair that will work as well as my Shyness Bear otks do for use in multiple coords. They were due for a short break. The elastic/fabric is somewhat snug but I'm hoping it will loosen up a bit after a few washings and wearings.

This is my first ring from BTSSB. The bow is a bit smaller that I thought it'd be. But maybe I'm just so used to the large plastic AP rings that my perception is off. Anyways, the metal is nice and smooth. It has an adjustable ring band. The sparkles are a nice touch; that extra bit of bling makes me feel like a princess.

ILD Tea Meet-up!

Hi friends! <3

I know ILD was awhile ago, but the nearby comm delayed having their meet-up due to everyone having such busy schedules. Fortunately doing so, we were able to gather in a fairly large group. Due to being such a hit last time, we went back to Mad Hatter again.

Looking good...

I started off with a few things. The chocolate chip scone was delicious...

Then, the tea arrived. I got one called Alice's Choice. It had a nice fruity sweet taste...

Sandwiches came out soon after and were gone in no time...

Bingo sheets were passed out once everyone had their fill of the food. Being a sweet lolita, I related most strongly to "pinks don't match." Although that can apply to other colors and styles as well. Such as gothic lolitas having non-matching blacks. Lol. Which of these can you relate to...?

So close, but not a winner. Bingo prizes included an Angelic Pretty gift card, loose-leaf tea, and fancy chocolates. A fierce battle of rock-paper-scissors ensued when a three-way tie occurred..

There were also various raffle prizes, so everyone got to win something. I chose this ring because it looked elegant and I thought it would go great with my gothic items. I believe it's called a poison ring. There is a latch on the side you can undo which opens the top to reveal a small hollow space inside. Pretty cool huh...

We then went outside to take pics in front of the café/restaurant. I quite liked this one. This giant tea cup used to be part of an amusement park ride. I'm glad they found a way to re-use it here. Good from a promotional angle too...

If You Could Only Keep 5 Main Pieces What Would They Be...

Hi friends! <3

I'm just going to jump right into things...

Angelic Pretty: Dream Fantasy Jsk

Lots of pastels, an adorable print featuring stars, rainbows, and different plushie style animals. I wear this one fairly often. Very easy to coord.

Moi Meme Moitie: Stained Glass Chiffon Jsk

Dark and elegant. Love the stained glass print! <3 It got me into wearing gothic style.

BTSSB: Dreamy Pony Ribbon Ribbon Jsk

A darker take on the pastel look. I started off in lolita with bittersweet. Wearing it makes me think back on those beginner days and realize how far I've come. This is also one of the first few brand dresses I got second-hand on LiveJournal. Anyone else remember that site?

Innocent World: Ave Maria Stained Glass Tulle Lace Jsk

More stained glass, but in a classic style. I like that minimal accessories are needed when coording and you can just let the focus be on the print/design.

Angelic Pretty: Fancy Paper Dolls Jsk

Pastels again, this time with cute plushie type animals playing dress-up. My first lucky pack/brand purchased direct from the brand. I remember being so excited when it arrived!

Hope you enjoyed this entry!

Snack Time: Green Tea Cream Cookies!

Hi friends! <3

Trying out another item from my Daiso NYC haul.

$1.99- Green Tea Cream Cookies- Japan

Let's open it up...

Mmm...

Let's try one...

Look at that cream filling...

Nom nom...

Thoughts:

This was pretty good. The cookie was sweet and buttery with a green tea cream inside. The filling reminded me of the cream in Oreos texture-wise. It had a nice green tea flavor that was somewhat overshadowed by the cookie. I think adding a bit more filling would have helped balance things out. The cookies are smaller than the packaging led me to believe, but there are 10 per box so not a bad deal. I would maybe get it again.
