Lavender Shoes Opening!

Hi friends! <3

I don't usually buy shoes, but I happened across this lavender pair for sale online and ended up getting them. I'm really excited as I had been low-key wanting a pair in this color but never saw them in my size. Not sure of the brand, but the seller said they are from Taobao.

*Edit: Found the same ones listed on AliExpress recently. Not available in my size there unfortunately.

Scalloped trim and fastener details...

It's not very noticeable in the pics but the shoes have a unique fastener style. You adjust the strap length to fit your ankle and align the U-shaped part with the buckle...

Place the strap into the U-shaped part...

And tug the strap gently to situate into place...

Thoughts:

These shoes are so cute! I love the little bows and the scalloped details. The fastener is so easy too. They seem pretty sturdy and were comfy to wear when I walked around in them for a bit. I'm excited to add another color option to my lolita shoes. <3

Snack Time: Pocky Squeeze Grape!

Hi friends! <3

I'm back again with another new snack to try out. This time it's pocky, but with a fruity twist. Purchased in FYE at the local mall.

Thoughts:

I was surprised to see that the sticks were mini sized. The coating was also thicker and covered most of the stick. It had a strong grape flavor. Not the artificial kind though, I'm talking real grapes. Which makes sense as the label states that it is made with 70% grape juice.

I admit I'm not a huge fan of grapes, but thought it was pretty good. You get a good amount of them in the box. With the sale, it was a heck of a deal. I think regular price was $3.99 or $4.99? I don't think I would have bought them if they weren't on sale. The one issue I noticed is that the smaller size means they don't last as long when snacking.

ILD Mad Hatter Meet-up!

Hi friends! <3

For international lolita day, I went to a big tea party at a new place called The Mad Hatter. There was a large group of lolitas that attended. It was great to see everyone. So many lovely coords too :-)

The table was set nicely with clotted cream, butter, and

apricot jam that one could put on their scone...

As well as dishes with pretty floral designs...

I ordered a tea that was a blend of four different ones aka "Four Biggies." It contained green, white, rooibos, and yerba mate tea. It was interesting.

The food was set up buffet style so we could help ourselves. Fruits, toasted bread slices, fancy cheese, scones, assorted little sandwiches, and sweets :-)

I tried a little bit of everything. It was delicious!

There was also a raffle with lots of prizes to choose from...

I selected this as my prize. The polka dotted bag and lemon sticker were adorable...

Inside was a sparkly Rilakkuma keychain! <3 I think I might turn it into a necklace instead though as I have enough keychains right now...

Afterwards, I walked around checking out the decorations. The whole place was done up with an Alice in Wonderland theme. It made for a nice background when taking coord pictures too ;-)
