Share 5 Winter Meetup Ideas...

Hi friends! <3

With the cold and snowy weather here to stay for awhile, it seems reasonable to accept that meet ups will decrease in frequency. While some may welcome the break to focus/catch up on other things, there are those who are determined to continue planning/attending meetups. Despite the weather not being so suitable, there are plenty of ideas for winter meetups out there. Read on for some I thought would be enjoyable.

Cookie Decorating

Who doesn't like cookies? I know baking can be messy and time consuming, but we could do it beforehand and just have fun decorating the cookies at the meetup.  Maybe some simple sugar cookies or cut outs. Everyone could bring something such as different flavored frostings, sprinkles, and other items to decorate with.

Tea Tasting/Swap

As a lolita, one gets into drinking and amassing quite a collection of tea. I think it would be fun for each person to bring a few different kinds. We could lay them out on a table and fill up a little bag with interesting ones to try. We could even taste test them beforehand by making a small pot of each kind to sample. It would also be a great way to save money before buying yet another unknown box of tea you may or may not end up liking.  Who knows, you might even find a new favorite!

Crafting

Sometimes it's great to just sit back and relax while enjoying time with friends. Whether it's learning a new skill or working on individual creative projects, it can be a nice way to pass the time together. It would be the perfect time to sew on that button that fell off your blouse at the last meetup, or continue working on that special accessory to go with a new dress you have arriving in the mail soon.

Holiday Market

A more seasonal event, but it can be fun to stroll through a holiday market.  You can interact with local vendors and crafters while enjoying the festive feeling. Also, you never know what interesting things you'll come across.

New Year's Meal

With the new year upon us, a meal with your lolita friends can be a great thing. It's a wonderful time to look back on the past year and discuss upcoming plans. It could be something as simple as a casual get together or a more formal sit down event.
