Asa Ransom House Afternoon Tea Meet-up!

Checked out a new tea house with the local comm. Just a small group this time, but it was nice. Might have to go back with a bigger group next time.

The dining room where we enjoyed our tea had some interesting vintage styled floral wallpaper...

A quick look around the gift shop, and then we headed outside for some pics. I loved this cute gazebo they had <3

Once we finished up, some of us headed down the road to an antique market. I enjoyed looking at the jewelry and tea sets. How pretty is this set?

This sofa and matching chairs reminded me of something my grandma might have had. There were even roses carved into the wood trim. I would love to have some furniture like this some day when I have a house of my own...

My small purchase/memento of the day was this beautiful gold rose ring. I think it would go great with lolita and my everyday wear...

Bat Bag Opening!

I came across the perfect bag to wear with my gothic coords and just had to get it... It's a bat! <3

Thoughts:

This bag is great! It has a nice matte black fabric on the outside, with a dark red lining inside. There's even a couple pockets. I especially like how the front and back have different looks. I can just flip it over when I want to change things up. The bag is roomy and will hold my stuff with no problem. I was surprised to see that the tag says Loris, as I have a moon shaped bag that is by them. It has held up well over time, so I'm hoping this one does too. I'm looking forward to wearing the bat bag with a coord sometime soon. Maybe with Sleeping Garden? ;-)

Thoughts:

The details are so lovely! It has ruffles with cute heart punch outs and scalloped trim where the edges come together. It has an easy side zip with front lacing, and gold eyelets/lace charms. For being offbrand, the quality is really good. I was thinking they would go well with sweet and/or classic type coords. Althought I really like these shoes, I will not be keeping them. The fit is not good for me and I have trouble walking in the higher heels. Hopefully I can find another pair of shoes that will work for me.

Thoughts:

I like how simple and elegant these are! I got them with the intention of wearing with gothic style coords; which I think they will go with perfectly. The fabric is somewhat snug and didn't stretch as much as other pairs I've had before from Meta. I think it may be due to the fact that they are an older pair and haven't been worn much. I hope they will loosen up a bit after a few washings and wearings. I am excited to wear them sometime soon.
